How To Use a Transcript
The transcript you receive in your email will contain everything you and the librarian typed. It will also contain the address (URL) for every website the librarian showed you. In order to return to these websites, there are two options:
- Some email programs will allow you to click on the address. This should automatically open the website in a new window on your computer screen.
- If you cannot click the address and go directly to the website:
- Click next to the address and hold down the left mouse button.
- Drag across the address. This should highlight the entire address.
- In the Edit menu, choose "copy."
- Open a web browser, such as Internet Explorer.
- Click and drag across the address in the bar at the top. This should highlight the entire address in the address bar.
- In the Edit menu, choose "paste.".
- Your copied address from the transcript should now appear in the address bar. Press Enter.
